It all started in our regular meeting. We needed to postpone our event “Kinder, Mehrsprachigkeit und Musik” in consequence of Covid 19 and didn’t know what to do. Burak came with the idea, why not a digital gaming event, we said so be it. And that was a great decision. A month mostly at home probably couldn’t have been funnier. We met beautiful people, shared knowledge, made jokes together, and most importantly we enjoyed together. #UnitedWeEnjoy. And here are the highlights of a beautiful event with beautiful people.
League phase:
- Manchester City & Liverpool were the most chosen teams from the players. We realized that lots of Turks are secretly half English in their minds. Well, to be honest the Turkish teams are also not the best in the game.
- People start calling Orcun with his last name Koral and continued it till the end.
- New communication ways were invented with the direct translation of Turkish sayings like: “A loser wrestler is never tired of loosing”
- Juan started to talk Turkish and asked for a game in Turkish. “As bayrakları as”
- Suleyman showed his greatness from the beginning on and spread fear against his competitors. He had only one draw and countless victories.
- Sancak and Burak gave their best, but in the end they can only be happy about their lessons learned. Goker and Toygan were the Robin Hoods and gave points to the real losers of the game.
- Juanito had to leave the tournament because of his internet connection la mierda. 🙁
- At the end of the league phase Suleyman, Sedat, Firat outshined as the favorite players to win the tournament.

PlayOffs
Players showed similar performance to the league during the playoffs, so the favorite players went to the draw.
The Draw & Quarterfinals
- We didn’t miss Gianni Infantino during Kemal does the draws. Sad that Instagram hadn’t released the feature of saving the live videos as IG-TV, so, unfortunately, it doesn’t exist anymore.
- Favorite players Firat & Suleyman are matched for an early final and Suleyman didn’t show mercy!
- Fethi made a goal during extra times and the only tie-break game during the playoffs was played. Cem with its highly metaphoric nickname Bababenmervelerdeyim went to the semi-finals.
- Rumors started about the final game between Suleyman and Sedat.
Semi finals
- Semifinal games were breathtaking!
- Koral is the first, last, and only winner against Suleyman within the tournament. However, before the second game, Suleyman restarted his PS4 and again we lived the classics. Suleyman went to the final.
- Shock! Shock! Shock! Sedat lost against Cem with clear scores, clear two games. Such a great analysis of his competitor. Cem as a surprise nominee went to the finals. It was time to come back from Merve and get ready for the final game.
The final game and the champion
- Alessio made a tremendous live commentary during the game in 4 different languages.
- Suleyman the magnificent as expected won the final game and is the winner of the first Midmen Tournament. Congratulations.
