Acrylic Pouring is a marvelous and trendy fluid painting technique. It is based on acrylic paint, which can be brought into a liquid, pourable consistency. This liquefied paint is then poured onto the canvas and distributed by tilting the painting surface. Then there are various techniques to complete and finish the design of the art piece.
Online Acrylic Pouring Workshop will cover all of the above to kickstart you into the world of acrylic pouring.
Basically, the workshop will teach you how to:
- Mix and prepare the acrylic paint.
- Apply the paint on MDF
- Use different techniques to finish and create different designs.
Once you register for the workshop, you will receive an online introductory video explaining what you should do and how you should prepare prior to the online session. The video will mostly cover the preparation of mixing the paint and silicone oil and water so that you will have had the basic knowledge of preparation of the paint on the day of the workshop.
We will also hold an Instagram interview with Tunc Suerdas a week before the workshop where you can attend and ask questions.
PREREQUISITE PAINTING EXPERIENCE
None.
MATERIALS REQUIRED FOR THE WORKSHOP
You will be provided with the following materials, delivered to your address* by MIDMEN:
- Acrylic Pouring paint kit: AMSTERDAM Acrylic Paint 120ml / 5 Primary colours
- 2 x MDF painting base: Round, 25 cm. diameter, sanded.
- Silicone oil: BALLISTOL, 65 cl.
- Phone holder**: 70 cm wire cord, max. 12 cm. phone screen length.
You will also need the following materials which will NOT be delivered by MIDMEN:
- 15 x plastic cups for pouring the paint- Transparent
- 7x Waxing spatula for mixing the paint in the plastic cup
- Protective material on the table to prevent stains of paint.
THE VENUE
The workshop will be online over Zoom with maximum 8 participants. It will be totally interactive, meaning that the instructor will have to see how you follow his instructions during the session. That’s why you’ll need a mobile phone fixed with a phone holder aiming at the direction of your hands. You will also need a tablet or a PC to follow the instructor. Zoom allows logins from 3 devices at the same time – a phone, a tablet and a PC, therefore you will not have any problems for the setup.
At the end of the workshop session, you will have completed your first acrylic pouring art pieces, your first PAINITUPs as Tunc Suerdas names them. You can put it on your wall, give someone as a new year present or put in on your desk. Voila!

EVENT SUMMARY
It has been such a colorful event from the first minute to the last. Participants were so enthusiastic which triggered Tunc to take this workshop to the top and helped them create the art works below.
Even though there was the computer screen between everyone, it didn’t prevent the positive energy of colors to flow through the workshop.
